Here are some of the things that you need to know to be able to enjoy the game of tennis;

Practice, Practice and Practice even more

We all know that practice makes perfect and in the game of tennis this is the most important part and this is especially true. The more you get out and play, the better you will be but take note of this that yes it is true that practice makes perfect but perfect practice makes perfect so you should know that even in  practice you should practice perfectly.

Bad shots are okay

Know that there’s no body in this world who are perfect in everything that they do in more ways than one they will commit mistakes, everyone, even professionals, have bad shots from time to time they commit it in the most unexpected occasion. The key is not to worry about your own bad shots and do not get frustrated what you need to do is focus on the game and move on and try to make something good about it or be more focus for the next shots.

You can invest in training

One good things is to enroll on tennis training class if you love something it is okay to spend a little penny for your own development much more if you want to be a high caliber level player. We suggest that you can do private lesson so that your coach will be focused on you but it is also okay to train as a group so you can have and expect for some exhibition match. Don’t worry because you just need a few lesson and you can do the training on your own just take in to hear the basics and perfect those training on your own.

Proper gears are important

Be well aware on the court that you are playing and make sure that you have a proper footwear because not because it is a low cut with a good brand name it is supposedly to be good on playing tennis. Many courts will not allow running shoes or black soles. If you are planning to play a lot of tennis in your life then invest in some tennis shoes there are a lot of tennis shop that offers good discounts and promotions for you to enjoy tennis better. Conquer the fear of the serve

Yes beginners and even intermediate players can be daunted in serving. The best thing to do with this pressure is you can start with a half serve first. Stand with feet in a split stance and your racquet hand to the side and slightly behind you. Hold your tennis racquet as if you were going to hammer something. Toss the ball up and swing the racquet with all your might towards the ball and add a twist in it so that the racquet head will face directly towards the court. Once you are comfortable doing this, you can progress to the full serve, which starts with the racquet and the ball together in front of your body. This service can be one of your most powerful arsenal like the Williams’s sisters, Nadal, and Federer.

Play with stronger players

Always try to play games with someone you know slightly above your level. As with most things in life, learn from people who are more proficient than us. Yes we will learn more with higher level player because we will be challenging ourselves, by playing with someone who is slightly above your level, you’ll be able to pick up pointers and improve your game at a more rapid pace. Make sure to enjoy learning and do not be so frustrated when losing to them take into heart that you’ll gain more with experience.

Play mini tennis

Yes for sure when you are just starting to play tennis, then hitting the ball playing at full court then it can be difficult because it will take too much stress on your body. Rally on the service line or in the service area is much easier. Try practicing your shots at this length so you won’t worry about putting too much power into your swings yet. This practice is easier to hit and return when you are playing closer to the net because the ball has less space to cover. It can develop your shot control and anticipation.

Work on your forehand

Maybe the most basic shot of all is your forehand on your dominant hand and it is the easiest stroke to master because you are open to the ball and you have the control on your dominant hand. With this stoke you can enhance and developed your game by mastering this simple stroke and add some curve and different powers to it to personalize your shot.

Backhand is also important

Make sure that you are comfortable with your forehand before moving on and mastering your backhand. A backhand stroke is generally done with two hands on the tennis racket. Always make sure that your wrist are straight and even so you can avoid muscle tension and serious injuries. Backhand is just like your forehand, you should make sure that you take a moderate back swing and fall through making contact with the ball when the face of your tennis racket is parallel to the net.

Lastly do not forget that all of this are useless if you don’t practice that much. If you want something you have to do everything to have it so make sure that you don’t get tired developing yourself. Enjoy and be the best version of you.
