Tan Wee Kiong is down with a left knee injury while V Shem has a slight back pain. The world No. 4 men’s doubles shuttlers were dropped from this week’s Indonesian Open because of injuries but hold on yet because all is not lost for Tan Wee Kiong – Goh V Shem ahead of the World Championships in Glasgow, Scotland, from Aug 21-27. Chea Soon Kit, the newly-appointed men’s doubles head coach said that there were alternate plans to ensure that Wee Kiong-V Shem enough tournaments to prepare for the World Championships. The injured kings are likely to be sent for the Australian Open Superseries in Sydney from June 20-25.  They are also being considered to participate on their second-tier tournaments, either the US Open in July or the New Zealand Open that will take place in August. Singapore’s very own Yeo Jia Min was showered by congratulations from her teammate and coaches and of course a lot of her friends has teased her because of the new status that she’s in. Yeo is the newly minted world No. 1, but nothing has changed with her drills and training as she knew about the good news. It was really a good day for the Singapore Hero, but the soft-spoken and fleet-footed player was only more concerned of the pressing need to do better and aim for more now that she’s in the top of the World looking on all the competition below her there’s no point in being complacent and relaxed but she have to make herself better to defend what she has right now. Someone is Taking Advantage of the Indonesia Open

The Adcocks are known to set foot and compete on the upcoming Indonesia Open and it is the perfect stage to get a hold of a higher rankings. Chris and Gabby Adcock will be taking advantage on their new world ranking as they take to the court at the BCA Indonesia Open next week. They actually moved up to fifth in the world in the new rankings that was published on Thursday, and it is their first tournament since being crowned European champions in April. The fifth seed will be challenged by the Hong Kong duo Lee Chun Hei Reginald and Chau Hoi Wah set in Jakarta, and this is a pair that they have not faced since 2015 so this will be exciting. The fixture came in the group stages of the Dubai World Superseries Finals, with the Adcocks winning in three games en route to lifting the title.
