Shuttler Kidambi Srikanth of India has claimed his first ever Indonesia Open Super series crown after defeating the Japanese qualifier Kazumasa Saki in an impressive and overwhelming win. “It’s been a long time since I’ve won a super series as I was actually injured after the Olympics,” Srikanth told journalists after the game in Jakarta. Tan Wee Kiong is down with a left knee injury while V Shem has a slight back pain. South Korea Prevails

On May 29, 2017, the badminton gods favored the South Korea team as they won the Sudirman Cup in Gold Coast, Australia over the powerhouse China team. This can go down on the books of badminton history as the South Korea squad play their hearts and lungs out just to upset the China team.
